Step-dad not supporting me on my decision to be a Vegetarian. Please read?

Q: Ok well just a few minutes ago I told my step-dad I am a Vegetarian. He told me "You don't know what your talking about" I told I knew what I was talking about. To me it seems like he doesn't support me on my decision to be a Vegetarian. How can I make him see that I am and there is nothing he can do to change it. I have an older cousin who also is a Vegetarian so if I need some help I can always ask her. well anyways I have been a Vegetarian since I was 13 (on and off). Well now I am 16 and decided to be a full on Vegetarian. My step-dad never know I was. Please help me!!! How can I make him see I am a Vegetarian now? Would you support your daughter/son if they become a Vegetarian? Please help me. btw my mom supports me al the way.

A: If I were your mom, I would support you. In fact, I hope and pray my daughter decides to stay a vegetarian (she's 1 and I'm raising her vegetarian.) Being a vegetarian will NOT kill you. I've been one for 12 years and I'm still alive and kicking. Your step-dad will see how serious you are when you start living your decision. Eat healthy, make sure you know what foods you need to get all your protein. If you like spicy food at all, you might want to try Indian food. It's pretty easy to make, very tasty and almost always 100% vegetarian. Good luck with your decision.
