Q: theres this guy who I talk to online like everyday and I get the impression that he thinks i don't really like him (as a friend). cause he keeps asking me if i want to meet up for coffee or something when he is in town, but i always say no thanks. I want him to know that I do like him as a friend but wish to keep our relationship the way it is. How can I say this nicely?
A: The only real way is to be honest and truthful. Anything else is open to misunderstanding and you don't want that. If he is a real friend he will understand. If not, do you really want to keep on communicating with him?
